How long is the warranty on a Baxi boiler?
The current range of Baxi boilers have the following warranties, all subject to being registered for the warranty within 30 days of installation, having the Benchmark checklist completed by the installer and an annual service carried out:
- Baxi 800 range has a 10-year parts and labour warranty. Please note: the magnetic filter must also be fitted and maintained for the length of the warranty, otherwise the warranty will revert to only two years.
- Baxi 600 range has a seven-year parts and labour warranty
- Baxi 400 range has a five-year parts and labour warranty
- Baxi 200 range has a two-year parts and labour warranty
Important: if the boiler warranty is not registered within 30 days of installation, the Benchmark checklist is not completed by the installer during installation or an annual service of the boiler is not carried out, the warranty will revert to the standard one year.
Do all Baxi boilers have a 10-year warranty?
The Baxi 800 range of boilers has a 10-year warranty, subject to being registered within 30 days of installation, the Benchmark checklist being completed, an annual service and the magnetic filter that is supplied with the boiler being fitted and maintained for the length of the boiler warranty.
The Baxi 600 range has seven years, Baxi 400 has five years and Baxi 200 range has a two year warranty.
Is a Baxi boiler warranty transferrable?
Yes – if you move house, as long as the warranty was registered, the boiler warranty will stay with the boiler. However, the new owner must ensure the boiler is serviced annually, so that the warranty remains valid.
What does a Baxi boiler warranty cover?
The boiler warranty covers the boiler and integrated controls. However, if the boiler fails due to an external issue, such as incorrect installation or sludge in the system, this is not covered by the warranty, and a charge will be incurred for replacing the damaged or blocked components.
How does a Baxi boiler warranty work?
To keep your boiler warranty valid, please ensure it is registered within 30 days of installation, your installer completes the Benchmark checklist and that you arrange for an annual service, during which your heating engineer should check that the water in your heating system is clean and that sludge is not present and clean the magnetic filter.
If your boiler is still under warranty, you can either call the heating engineer who installed it or contact Baxi Customer Support to arrange for one of our engineers to visit. Please have your boiler’s serial number handy when you contact us, whether you use the online form or call our contact centre.
