What happens to the heat pump if you move home or need to renovate?

Should you decide to move home, the heat pump will typically stay with the property, as it will have been carefully sized and configured for that specific building. The good news is that a heat pump can, in some cases, add value to your property, due to its improved efficiency rating.

If you’re looking at renovating your home, the heat pump would usually stay where it is, however the renovations may allow for pipework to be improved and upgrades to insulation can improve overall heating efficiency.

For modifications such as extensions or smaller improvements, it may be possible to work around the heat pump, however we recommend checking with your installer beforehand.
