Are there grants available for air source heat pumps?

Different areas may offer different grants to help you with the cost of installing an air source heat pump.

 

England and Wales

 

The government Boiler Upgrade Scheme was launched in April 2022. It will provide a boiler upgrade grant to help owners of domestic and small non-domestic properties in England or Wales with the upfront cost of installing low carbon heating systems, such as heat pumps. It will run from 2022 to 2025.

 

Scotland 

 

Home Energy Scotland delivers the loan and cashback schemes of behalf of the Scottish Government Loans are available to owner occupiers who live in their properties and to self-builders for both energy efficiency measures and renewables measures, and attract up to 40% and 75% respectively, dependent on the measures being installed. Cashback is based on total cost and capped at a maximum value.

 

Northern Ireland

Republic of Ireland

 

The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) provides information on grants for installing air source heat pumps, up to €6,500.
