From understanding how air source heat pumps work to designing, installing and commissioning them, there’s a course for wherever you are on your journey. 

New to Air Source Heat Pumps?

 

Do you currently install, service or maintain our boiler range but are interested in getting an initial overview of ASHPs or are you wanting to start your ASHP journey and grow your business delivering the next generation of heating and hot water solutions? If so, we recommend you complete the following courses.

Introduction to ASHPs 

A one-day course for anyone wanting to know more about our range of heat pumps. The day will cover how a heat pump works, our product range and some installation considerations.

Product Awareness Course 

This is an add-on at the end of the boiler training to give a brief introduction to ASHP’s and the product offering from Baxi.

Want to begin the journey to becoming MCS certified and help your customer claim grants?


Almost every single customer installing a heat pump will want to claim available government grants. For them to do this, Installers must be MCS certified. Our BPEC courses lead to nationally recognised qualifications that can be used towards the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).

BPEC Low Temperature Hot Water Heating Systems 

The BPEC Low Temperature Hot Water Heating Systems is a recommended pre-requisite qualification to allow progression onto the BPEC Level 3 Award in Air Source Heat Pump Systems.

BPEC Accredited ASHP Systems 

This course covers the principles of design, installation, commissioning, and servicing of air source heat pump systems, including water regulations. You’ll get hands-on sessions and have a formal assessment leading to a nationally recognised BPEC qualification.

Our installer courses are designed to cover all aspects of ASHP installations, from design & application through to the installation & commissioning itself ending with an assisted commission to ensure our installers have everything they need to succeed. 

Baxi Heat Pump Installer Course

This course provides in-depth knowledge and practical skills on our latest products covering design, application, installation and commissioning, as well as service and maintenance tips of the Baxi ASHP range. To complete this course, installers will require a supervised commissioning visit on their first installation.
